Jays make it six straight over Titans; 28-17 win in MWC

The Guthrie Bluejays extended their winning streak to five games with a 28-17 win over Carl Albert. The win marks the sixth straight for the Jays over the Titans and 11 of the past 15 seasons.

The Bluejays finished with four scores from four different players. Two of the Bluejay scores were setup with Titan turnovers.

Guthrie improved to 6-2 overall and 5-1 in District 5A-2 with its fifth straight win. A win over Deer Creek next week locks up second in the district and a home playoff game in the first round.

Carl Albert (5-4, 3-3) is now likely relegated to fourth place in the district.

More to come.
