Junior High claims another team title; boys finish third

The Guthrie Junior High Lady Jays tennis team once again brought a championship trophy back to the city limits.

In their own tournament held at Oklahoma City Tennis Center, the team had six players place in the top three places.

Bringing medals home were No. 1 singles Brianna Berryman placing third, No. 2 singles Trista LeGrande winning first, No. 1 doubles Makaya Coker and Sydney Little earned second, No. 2 doubles Molly Swartzbaugh and Kiah Thomas finished second overall.

The boys team finished third overall with Aaron Hartley winning first in No. 1 singles. Partners Kevin Blackston and Jayden Weatherford brought home second in No. 1 doubles.
