The Guthrie Kiwanis Club held their annual Christmas auction this past weekend and with the help of 400 donated items the club raised $23,000.
“All monies raised stay in the Guthrie community and will be used to fund our youth programs such as Coats for Kids, Bring Up Grades, The Easter Egg Hunt, Punt Pass and Kick and our Kiwanis Scholarship Program,” Jerry Gammill with the Kiwanis Club said.
The auction portion raised $15,000 and an additional $8,000 was cash contributions from businesses in town.
The charity auction is viewed every year on City of Guthrie’s GTV20 and for the first time the audio was streamed live on Guthrie News Page.
Gammill added, “Guthrie Kiwanis Club says ‘Thank You’ to the Community. None of this would be possible without the continued support of our community.”
