Late scoop and score takes the Bluejays to 3-0 on the season

The Guthrie Bluejay defense did it again.

With the scoreboard dead locked at 14-14, the Ponca City Wildcats appeared they were headed to put a dagger to the Jays perfect season with a deep drive into Guthrie territory and time fading away. However, Dominic Goosby scooped up a fumble and sprinted into the south end zone to give the Jays a 21-14 lead with 1:07 left in the game.

Senior Marcellus Owens iced the (28-14) game with a 54-yard pick six 43 seconds later to send the Jays into the bye with a 3-0 record.

Guthrie is off to their best start since 2014. In that season, they started out 9-0.

More to come.
