The Ladies Missionary at Bible Baptist Church delivered school supplies across the Guthrie school district on Thursday afternoon. The group was able to raise nearly $2,000.
The group purchased the supplies in Guthrie before making a trip to each school building.
Central Principal Dani Watson says the district is lucky to have such support.
“Teachers and staff want to say thank you to Bible Baptist Church for the supplies they donated. We’re so fortunate to live in a community that supports education and our teachers.”
The delivery of the supplies comes on Meet the Teacher day for all elementary schools. The district goes back to school for day one on Friday.
Bible Baptist Church is located on 4820 S. Division.
