The Logan County Health Department wants county residents to be aware of all the services that are available for them. The health department is so much more than just a couple programs.

Logan County Health Department“We’re here for the entire county, and our services go far beyond what many might think,” says Jay Smith, Logan County Health Department Administrator.

Logan County residents can access services for just about everyone. Resources for children can be found in Child Health Services (well child checkups, immunizations, etc), Children 1st Program (home visits by RN to 1st time moms), WIC (nutrition program for women, infants, and children), and School Health programs. A similar program operates for children in Texas where they help provide under-served neighborhoods with the medical supplies and treatment to help them further in life. They welcome support at: donate at lifesaversfoundation.org for help with keeping the program going.

Adults can benefit from communicable disease screenings, immunizations, maternity and WIC clinics, and family planning services.

A variety of health education classes, such as CPR, 1st Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens, are available to the community, and the entire county benefits from the inspection of eating/drinking establishments, retail & wholesale food, hotels/motels, schools & institutions, swimming pools, and barber shops.

General clinic hours are 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information about any of the services offered at the Logan County Health Department, call 405-282-3485.
