Logan County Task Force responds to Moore

The Logan County Task Force immediately assembled soon after a horrific EF5 tornado ripped through the town of Moore on Monday afternoon.

Logan County crews of Guthrie, Coyle, Crescent, Meridian, Twin Lakes, Deer Creek, Oak Cliff, Woodcrest, Sooner, Cashion and Emergency Management gathered emergency vehicles and traveled down I-35 to help with the search and rescue efforts as the city of Moore was leveled with wind speeds of 200 mph plus.

The storm carved a trail through the area as much as two miles wide and 22 miles long leaving several injured and sadly leaving several dead. More than 100 people had been pulled from the rubble alive with a majority of them coming over night.

The task force was also able to rescue animals that have been displaced in the aftermath.
