A Southern Logan County man has been arrested after a person reported they had noticed child pornography on a computer and now authorities are asking help from individuals that might have come in contact with him and their children.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations started an investigation of child pornography on April 8th, 2012.

The Sheriff’s Office investigators served a search warrant on the home of Danny Floyd Garrett, a 50-year-old male.

Garrett was charged with four counts in Logan County, including rape in the first degree, possession of child pornography, forcible oral sodomy and soliciting a minor to participate in child pornography.

An investigation was started when a reporting person contacted the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and stated that he was at the home of Garrett and had noticed child pornography on one of the computers. A search was applied for and granted and served on the home on the 8th of April. Inside the home, numerous computer media was located containing images and videos of what is believed to be child pornography. Numerous items were seized in relation to the search warrant.

This office has reason to believe that there are individuals that might have come in contact with Garrett with their children and might be unaware of their child being photographed or videotaped. If you have any information regarding contact with Garrett please contact the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Tom Kutay at 282-4100.

I hate to think of children being victims. It shapes who and what they are for the rest of their lives.
