A Guthrie man has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.

A detective with the Guthrie Police Department and a case worker with the Logan County Department of Human Services (DHS) were notified of possible sexual abuse between a man and his children, along with messages regarding his desire to see his children have sex.

In the probable cause affidavit, copies of the alleged messages revealed Timothy Lawrence Hanthorn, 34, wanted to see his kids have sex and that it excited him.

The affidavit does not reveal how many children Hanthorn has, or their ages.

Inside a residence, the DHS worker asked Hanthorn about the text messages and said he knew nothing about them. The detective asked Hanthorn if he had a Facebook account and he said yes. The Facebook icon as described matched the description in the alleged text messages.

After a consent search of a tablet, the detective said he immediately saw at least eight text strings all associated with incest, children pictures and hardcore sex. Inside the text strings were multiple texts and images of children in various sexual poses, according to the court document.

The report goes on to say there were conversations from Hanthorn with others talking about having sex with a family member.

He was placed under arrest and was in front of a judge on Monday. Hanthorn was given a $125,000 bond and a court date of Feb. 23 at 9 a.m.
