Mayor proclaims Child Abuse Prevention Month; Touch the Trucks on Sunday

Guthrie Mayor Chuck Burtcher put his signature on a proclamation that will help continue to heighten awareness of child abuse and set the tone for the annual Touch the Trucks.

The Logan County Partnership was presented with a proclamation by Mayor Chuck Burtcher inside Guthrie City Hall.

The partnership group has again organized the Touch the Trucks event with this year showcase taking place on April 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Logan County Fairgrounds.

Expected to be on hand will be the Guthrie Fire Department’s ladder truck, ambulance and other vehicle toys. In addition, numerous ATV’s and other big trucks will be on hand for the children to touch and explore.

Along with all the toys to touch, free books will be given away.
