Cause of death revealed for missing lady

Update 11:30 Monday – The medical examiner has released a cause of death for a lady that went missing for 10 days and was discovered this weekend.

According to the medical examiner, Betty Simon accidentally drowned.

Agencies and search crews found Simon’s car Saturday morning under a bridge upside down. It is still undetermined how Simon’s car ran off the road and into the creek.

Authorities do not suspect any foul play.

Authorities confirmed the vehicle belonging to Betty Simon, who had been missing for 10 days.

Members of the Deer Creek Fire Department were called to the area of 178th and Council Road after 10 a.m.. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle half-submerged and upside down in a creek.

Authorities believed it to be Simon and family members have confirmed their findings.
