The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported on Wednesday a Guthrie man was killed in a motorcycle accident last month on Interstate 35 in Oklahoma City.
Billy Joe Knox, 54, of Guthrie died on Sept. 21 as a result of injuries resulting from an accident on Sept. 18 at 5:30 p.m.
Troopers say Knox was traveling on the interstate, just south of Interstate 44, when he took “evasive action” to the left when he approached slow-moving traffic.
The cause of the accident was labeled “unsafe speed for traffic conditions.”
The report goes on to say, Knox laid his 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle over and rolled an unknown number of times.
He was taken to a OKC hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition with head injuries.
