Motorcyclist air lifted to hospital following crash on S. Division

A motorcyclist was taken by a medical helicopter to a Oklahoma City hospital following a crash between a motorcycle and vehicle on S. Division St. on Wednesday evening.

Just after 7:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to the intersection of Sooner Rd. and Division St. for an accident involving a motorcycle.

Battalion Chief Greg Machtolff with the Guthrie Fire Department says a male motorcyclist was treated at the scene for a fractured femur and internal injuries. He was transported by Air Evac to the trauma unit at OU Medical Center.

The motorcycle struck a four-door compact car in the driver’s door. The vehicle was turning north onto Division St. from Sooner Rd.

A report from the Guthrie Police Department was not made available as of Thursday morning. A police summary shows the driver was wearing a helmet and that a citation was issued.
