Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following accident on I-35

A motorcyclist was air-flown to an Oklahoma City hospital on Sunday afternoon following a one vehicle accident on Interstate 35.

Just after 5 p.m. emergency crews responded to the single motorcycle accident just north of the northbound on-ramp of Seward Road.

At the scene it was uncertain what caused the motorcyclist to lose control of the bike.

The driver was being treated for a head injury.

An off duty Guthrie firefighter was passing through and was able to tend to the patient until Guthrie EMS could arrive.

The northbound traffic was shut down for 41 minutes for the medical helicopter.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident.

No additional information was released at the scene.
