Meridian Technology Center Superintendent Dr. Douglas Major has been named the 2024 Superintendent of the Year by the Oklahoma School Public Relations Association (OKSPRA), honoring his outstanding leadership, communication, and commitment to student success.
Dr. Major is known not just for his administrative skills but for his hands-on approach—whether it’s climbing a utility pole alongside Lineworker students, participating in mock crime scenes with Criminal Justice classes, or taking the time to engage directly with students, staff, and the community.
Under his leadership, Meridian has grown into a nationally recognized CareerTech school. His focus on expanding access to training programs, increasing enrollment, and launching innovative tools like virtual campus tours has made CareerTech opportunities more accessible than ever.
