Noble Ave. intermittently narrows for an ongoing sidewalk construction

Eastbound SH-33/Noble St. will be intermittently narrowed between Ash St. to just east of Drexel St. in Guthrie from 7 a.m. to  5 p.m. Monday-Friday through early November for an ongoing sidewalk construction project. While the contractor will not need to narrow lanes at all times to make room for equipment and workers, motorists are advised to use caution in the area, expect intermittent lane impacts and watch for workers.

The sidewalk on the south side of SH-33/Noble Ave. will be closed between Ash St. and Drexel St. to pedestrian traffic through early November, but sections will open as they complete. Work is occurring near Central Elementary School at Ash St. and this section is expected to complete by the start of school next week, weather permitting.

Motorists also can expect intermittent lane closures on northbound US-77/Division St. between Industrial Rd. and Grant Ave. for final sections of sidewalk construction through fall.

The contractor will continue to communicate with businesses and residences along the length of the project ahead of impacts to driveways and entrances.

The $873,000 project was awarded by the Oklahoma Transportation Commission in November 2020 to C-P Integrated Services Inc. of Oklahoma City. Work is expected to complete in early fall 2021.
