A Stroud man was killed earlier this week involving a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 74, according to officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on Monday afternoon at 12:58 p.m. just north of State Highway 33 and approximately two miles south of Crescent.
According to the crash report, a 2014 Buick LaCrosse, driven by 71-year-old Ralph C. Krehbiel, of Enid, was traveling northbound on State Highway 74 when it crossed the center line striking a 2016 Chevy Impapa head on.
The driver of the Impala, 32-year-old Kim L. Flatt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the LaCrosse was transported by a medical helicopter to OU Medical Center. He was admitted in critical condition with internal injuries.
The cause of the collision remains identified as “under investigation.”
OHP was assisted by the Crescent Police Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Crescent Fire Department and Guthrie Fire Department.
The roadway was shut down and rerouted for motorists.
