Pepper, Maker and Wiss recognized for GPS employees of the month

Guthrie Public Schools recognized their latest support and certified employees of the month with recognition at the Board of Education meeting on Thursday evening.

Deborah Pepper was named the December Support Employee of the Month while Jessica Maker was named the Certified Employee of the Month.

Each selection was awarded with a plaque, to go along with Integrity Heat and Air giving each reciepent a $25 gift card to Missy’s and Wal Mart, $10 gift card to Hoboken and a briefcase backpack. The Lions Club also gave each a $25 Sonic gift card.

Lesley Cotton, a Reading Interventionist at Central Elementary, nominated and presented Pepper, who is a secretary at Central.

xxxx Lynette Anderson nominated and presented Maker, who is a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Guthrie Junior High.

Last month the Certified selection was unable to attend and was also honored on Thursday.

Ryan Wiss, a fifth grade teacher at Guthrie Upper Elementary School (GUES), was nominated by GUES Assistant Principal Jeff Ball as the November employee of the month. Wiss was presented a plaque, $25 Sonic Gift Card from Lions Club, a $25 Missy’s Gift Certificate, $25 Walmart Gift Card, and a $10 Hoboken Coffee Card from Integrity Heat & Air.
