A suspect is in custody after a homeowner witness him going through his tools. It did not end there as the suspect attempted to stab him with a screw driver and later a knife.

Police were called to the 600 block of East Lincoln around 4:30 p.m. with a robbery in progress. Daniel Bruce Farrow (08-04-1951) was taken into custody two blocks from the house where he was caught attempting to steal tools from the back of a truck and later attempting to stab the victim with a screwdriver and knife.

Farrow is being charged with auto burglary and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Farrow was wanted by the Guthrie Police Department in connection with a burglary of a Guthrie residence back on July 1, 2011.

According to Lieutenant Mark Bruning, DNA linked Farrow to the crime. In addition, Stillwater Police are wanting to question Farrow about crimes committed in Stillwater.

According to the victim and his witness, Farrow was shifting through his tools when he countered Farrow. After exchanging words, Farrow attempted to stab the homeowner with a screwdriver and took off on foot.

The victim chased him only to see the Farrow pull out a knife and threaten bodily harm in the 400 block of East Lincoln.

“It’s exactly what you see on television,” the victim told Guthrie News Page.

Police found the knife and captured Farrow shortly after. Approximately an hour later, Guthrie EMS responded to the police station to tend to Farrow for a medical condition.
