Semi-truck rolls over coming off interstate

A Nebraska driver was able to escape major injuries after rolling his semi-truck on Highway 33 Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the highway near Interstate 35 for the single vehicle rollover at 7:42 a.m.

According to a witness, the truck exited off the highway and attempted to make a right turn onto Highway 33, but was unable to negotiate the turn.

The witness, who helped the man out of the semi, says the driver appeared to have taken the turn too fast, forcing it to roll onto the driver’s side.

The Guthrie Police Department continues to investigate the crash.

The truck, with registered tags out of Nebraska, was filled with Coca Cola product and luckily did not spill out onto the roadway.

Shortly after 10 a.m., crews were removing the coke product out and was set to begin removing the truck from the roadway.

Traffic off I-35 and eastbound Highway 33 traffic was not completely shut down, but was being directed by police officers.

The driver was checked out at the scene by Guthrie EMS and refused any further treatment.
