After being washed just over two years ago, a Logan County bridge is expected to be back open next month. A much welcome message for motorists.
In late May 2015, heavy rains forced the Cottonwood Creek to rise and wash out the Seward Road bridge – west of the railroad tracks between Broadway and Santa Fe Ave. The west approach was taken out and leaving a 20 foot drop.

On Friday, the office of Logan County District 1 said all four corners of the bridge have been rip-rapped (rocks to protect the structure) to hopefully sustain the structure against the next major flood.
The target date to open is Friday, July 14.
The million dollar project is being funded 80 percent by federal funds and 20 percent from the County Improvements for Roads and Bridges fund.
