Sheriff’s Office finds their wanted man; $105,000 bond set

With the help of the United States Marshals Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office has found their man who is being accused of being a part of a large multi-county stolen property operation.

Allen Travis HandAuthorities executed a search warrant at 8701 Meadow Hill Drive in southern Logan County on Oct. 23. and discovered several stolen items, including firearms, tractors and trailers. In addition, 12 pounds of marijuana, $5,000 in cash, numerous boxes of ammunition and magazines and body armor plates were discovered. Two people were arrested on site, but officials were unable to locate the homeowner and third suspect. On Sunday, they found their suspect after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Allen Travis Hand, 44, was arrested at his home shortly before 9 p.m. and transported to the county jail. He is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday with a bond set at $105,000.

“The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the National Insurance Crime Bureau, the United States Marshals Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in moving this difficult case forward, and for assistance in safely apprehending Mr. Allen Hand,” Logan County Chief Deputy Richard Stephens said.
