Snow day alters calendar for Guthrie Public Schools

As most children enjoyed having classes canceled on Friday due to snow, they will now make up that day in March.

Guthrie Public Schools announced Monday morning school will be held on March 10, which was established as one of two built in make-up days, to make up for the missed instruction time.

The school district must obtained 1080 hours of instruction for the school year, which calculates the number of days required by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

The school calendar, which is comprised by a committee and approved by the Board of Education, has one more make-up day set for April 21, if needed.
