Original story

The statewide 911 operating system is currently not in use, including in the Guthrie area.

According to a report, the system was disabled early Wednesday morning by a power surge and fiber line cut in Oklahoma City. AT&T says the repairs could take up to 24 hours.

The issue started around 11 a.m.

Guthrie Police Department says citizens can call the non-emergency phone number at 405-282-3535.
