Suspect believed to have cut female during altercation; deputies find suspect hiding

One man is in custody after he fled from a southern Logan County home after being involved in a domestic dispute. One person was cut with a knife during the altercation.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3100 block of Lakewood Dr., which is near the intersection of Coltrane and Simmons roads, just before 8 p.m. on Thursday.

According to witnesses, a male and female were involved in a physical altercation. Family members of the female were notified and came to her rescue, but during the process a female was cut by a knife in the lower leg.

The female refused transport from Guthrie EMS at the scene.

The male suspect identified as Daniel Christopher Ellisten, 35, fled from deputies before their arrival. However, deputies found him hiding on a nearby road (Eric Lane). Ellisten was taken into custody and escorted to the county jail.

Ellisten could face multiple felony charges.

Guthrie News Page will have more details as soon as they become available.
