Two people have been arrested after they admitted to Logan County deputies they were planning residential burglaries.

Jennifer and Israiel Cummings have been taken into custody.

Jennifer and Israiel Cummings have been taken into custody.

Deputies located an adult male and adult female in the area of County Road 73 and Post Road, located north of Highway 33.

They were identified as Israiel Cummings, 30, and Jennifer Cummings, 31.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint that there was a suspicious white vehicle driving in the area and responded to the area.

Once they arrived they found a white, 2012, Chevrolet Malibu parked in a field with a military type camouflage net on top of the vehicle.

Both suspects, who were interviewed at the scene, told investigators they had become behind on bills and had been using methamphetamine.

Captain Richard Stephens said several items of electronics were found inside the vehicle, but have not yet been reported as stolen property.

The Sheriff’s Office can not positively link the two suspects with the other recent break-ins in the area, but says the case is ongoing.

Jennifer Cummings was charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of narcotic paraphernalia and bringing contraband into a jail facility.

  1. Thank you Logan County Deputies for catching these two. We feel safer in the Post Road area now!

    • So Norma, you think your safer now? If they had been the real thing, then maybe…but this is there first attempt at theft, that’s why they were caught! The real criminals are still at large, they are small potatos compared to the ones who can do you real harm. I feel sorry for this couple…

  2. My name is Nancy Cummings, I am Israels mom. My son has never done any thing like this be for, neither has Jennifer…they are really good kids. Israel has served in the army, and done his tour in Afghanistan, protecting other soldier’s, your sons and daughters from being blown up. He has 67% disability’s from disarming bombs, and has prescribed medication he needed to take at times…one disability is extreme depression. Him and Jenn has 2 small children, whom they love very much. Israel was a strait A student in school, Jennifer has a degree in collage, she was a mortician…and wants to go back to school to become a private eye…so, They have a “free lawyer”, so, what kind of just treatment do you think they will get? So, they screwed up one time, this does not make them bad, and have to do 5 years in jail. These are their only options, according to the “free lawyer”, who won’t even talk to me, the mother. Breaks my heart to put two good people in jail. And the authorities have found no evidence, except one little pill on each of them. So, they stole nothing from anyone.

  3. If they were such good kids then they wouldn’t of broke into my house 3 years later! So glad they were caught! Praise God!
