A two vehicle accident sent one car smashing into a tree on Guthrie’s east side.
Just before 1:30 p.m., a Hyundai Tucson was travelling east on Highway 33 and a 2500 pickup truck carrying a trailer was travelling east on Oklahoma Ave. The Hyundai attempted to turn south and collided with the truck.
The impact spun the Hyundai into a tree. A wrecker removed the vehicle from the tree and roadway.
The driver of the truck says he travels down Oklahoma Ave. and has seen similar close calls at the intersection.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
