Teen charged with manslaughter in the death of a Guthrie woman

A Guthrie teen is facing up to four years in jail following a tragic accident in June that left one person dead after she was backed over by a vehicle in the early morning hours.

Car - PedestrianOn Sept. 20 the Logan County District Attorney’s Office filed a manslaughter charge in the first degree on 17-year-old Dylan Osgood. The filing comes under the youthful offender statue.

Sheila Renee Zoltowski, 48, of Guthrie was pronounced dead due to massive injuries to her head and chest. She was backed over by a 1997 Dodge pickup believed to be driven by Osgood just before 3 a.m. in the 1800 block of East Springer on June 8.

An affidavit shows Osgood was under the influence of an intoxicating liquor.

Osgood has not been formally arraigned on the charge as of Tuesday morning.

Zoltowski, a 1983 Guthrie graduate, taught 5th grade in Oklahoma City Schools for 18 years.
