Three arrested in Craigslist undercover investigation in Guthrie

On Friday afternoon members of the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force from the Guthrie Police Department and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation arrested two local men who allegedly solicited sexual acts and made lewd proposals to a minor.

Agents arrested Wallace Walters, 46, and Bobby Anderson, 26, who are both from Guthrie.

Using a Craigslist website, Walters and Anderson both made alleged lewd, sexual proposals to an undercover task-force officer posing as a 15-year-old boy and agreed to meet the boy at a local restaurant. Upon Walters and Anderson arriving at the restaurant and not locating the child, they left the area.

Guthrie Police patrol officers stopped Walters at the intersection of Iron Mound and Cimarron in Guthrie. Walters was taken into custody and booked into the Logan County Jail on allegations of Lewd or Indecent Proposals or Acts to a Child and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

Guthrie Police patrol officers then stopped Anderson at 2324 East Noble in Guthrie. He was taken into custody and booked into the Logan County Jail on allegations of Lewd or Indecent Proposals or Acts to a Child and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

On Monday morning, ICAC task force members arrested Johnnie Jones, 41, of Coyle, at the intersection of Iron Mound and Cimarron in Guthrie. Using a Craigslist website, Jones allegedly solicited to meet an undercover task-force officer posing as a 15-year-old boy at a local restaurant in anticipation of having sex with the boy. When Jones did not locate the 15-year-old at the restaurant, he departed the area.

Guthrie Police patrol officers stopped Jones and took him into custody. Officers booked Jones into the Logan County Jail on a complaint of Lewd or Indecent Proposals or Acts with a Child and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

    Can anyone tell me why if there was enough evidence to arrest Wallace Walters on these charges,why why why does he get a lesser bond amount then the other two guys involved. Is it because he has family working in the logan county D.A.’s office,is this a factor and if so WHY!
