Two accidents on S. Division within 15 minutes; drivers failing to yield

Emergency crews were busy Monday afternoon with two vehicle accidents on S. Division within 15 minutes.

The first accident occurred at 3:20 p.m. in the 1600 block near the Walgreens entrance. Officers with the Guthrie Police Department say the two-vehicle accident was caused by an inattentive driver not yielding to a stop sign.

The driver that caused the crash did not have automobile insurance. Both vehicles were transported by wreckers.

Both patients refused transport from the scene.

The second accident came 15 minutes later in the 4500 block. Officers say a driver of a gray jeep failed to yield from a private drive and struck an oncoming four-door car causing major damage to the front end.

Again, luckily, there were no medical transports from the scene.
