Two Guthrie administrators among four to retire from school system

The Guthrie Board of Education (BOE) is expected to accept the resignations of an assistant superintendent and one of the school district’s director at next Monday’s school board meeting.

Following an expected executive session, the BOE will take action on personnel reports, which displays the retirement of Assistant Superintendent Dennis Schulz and Director of Special Education Eldona Woodruff.

Schulz, who overlooks the school district’s finances, has been with Guthrie schools since 1998.

Both retirements show effective dates for the end of the school year (June 30, 2017).

In addition, long-time Cotteral Elementary school secretaries Carol Doles and Vickie Lausen are set to retire on June 7.

Prior to the 7 p.m. board meeting, a Teacher of the Year reception will be held prior at 6 p.m. The district is expected to name their District Teacher of the Year.
