United Way of Logan County kicks off annual campaign and announces 2018 fundraising goal

United Way of Logan County kicked off its annual campaign and announced this year’s campaign goal on Tuesday, September 11.

Mike Sikes, 2018 Logan County campaign chair, revealed the goal of $170,000 while guests enjoyed a complimentary lunch and had the opportunity to mingle with Partner Agency representatives to learn more about the programs funded by United Way of Logan County.

“The need is greater than ever for critical health and human service programs in our own backyard,” said Sikes. “We will do whatever it takes to raise as much money as possible for our Partner Agencies and provide them with the resources needed to continue supporting our neighbors in need.”

Another exciting announcement was the reveal of the total that Pacesetter campaigns have raised. Pacesetters are organizations that run their campaigns early, setting the tone for the rest of the fall campaign. To-date, they have raised more than $45,300 that will go towards the annual campaign, helping to fund 11 programs at 10 local Partner Agencies.
