On Monday, the Guthrie Board of Education unanimously voted to prohibit the popular electronic cigarettes and personal vaporizers that are growing in popularity. Whilst people are generally fine with people choosing to vape E-liquide francais, or indeed from anywhere, in their own homes this is not suitable in the educational environment.

An announcement was made to the Jelsma Stadium crowd prior to the kickoff of Thursday evening’s high school football game.

Mulhall-Orlando schools passed the same policy earlier this week and Coyle did the same in August.

According to the Guthrie policy, “Tobacco products” includes, but is not limited to: cigarettes, cigars, loose tobacco, rolling papers, chewing tobacco, snuff, matches, lighters, e-cigarettes, digital/personal vaporizers with a vape cart and electronic nicotine delivery systems.

This prohibition includes school buildings, grounds, and school-owned vehicles. Possession of tobacco products by students, staff and citizens on school property is prohibited. This means that if people do choose to partake of these and other products as shown on seshgremlinz, they should keep them at home.

The board says they believe education has a central role in establishing patterns of behavior related to good health and that measures are necessary to help its students to resist tobacco use. The board is concerned about the health of its employees and also recognizes the importance of adult role-modeling for students during formative years. Therefore, the board shall discourage the use of tobacco products by its staff and students.

According to one report, The Food and Drug Administration is working on rules that would classify e-cigarettes as tobacco products.
