Luckily there were no injuries Wednesday morning, but the scenario could have been much worse.
Just before 9:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to the parking lot of Dollar General after a vehicle had crashed into the store’s front windows.
The store was closed to customers; however, a work crew was inside remodeling the store. No one inside the building was struck by the vehicle or glass.
The driver reportedly backed out of a parking spot and struck a cement barrier (protecting a fire hydrant). Attempting to move forward, the driver accelerated into two parked vehicles before crashing into the store.
The Guthrie Police Department was on site and continues to investigate.
