Victim devastated as thieves steal her special possession

An employee is devastated as one of her prized possessions was stolen from her while at work. Now, she wants the people responsible for the crime to simply bring it back to her where it belongs.

Mandy Murphy was working the evening shift on Sunday at Lakeview Grocery, located at the intersection of Sooner and Seward roads, when she noticed her wallet was missing.

Murphy had a terrible feeling what may have happened and the store surveillance confirmed her suspicion.

At around 5 p.m., the store video shows two males and a female walk into the store. While at the register, a male (not wearing a hat) is seen reaching over the counter, taking the wallet and stuffing it down his shorts.

Murphy did not realize her wallet was missing until two hours later.

Inside the wallet was cash, her driver’s license and credit cards, but Murphy says they can have all of it with no questions asked if her necklace is returned.

The necklace, which she placed inside her wallet, features a gold teardrop pendant and inside is her mother’s ashes.

Murphy says the necklace is fragile and she had taken it off for her work shift.

Murphy says the Logan County Sheriff’s Office is working on several leads in the case and remains hopeful she will be reunited with her necklace.

If you have any information regarding this case you’re encourage to call the Sheriff’s Office at 282-4100.
