Updated on January 26, 2022 – On January 25, at approximately 11:30 p.m. the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service in the 2400 block of East Oak Lane regarding a possible home invasion where a person had been shot.
Upon deputies arrival, one male was found with a gunshot wound laying on the front porch. A male and female were located inside the residence.
Through the investigation, the male resident came from a back room and observed a male inside the home assaulting a female that lives at the residence. The male resident shot the male twice, stopping the assault.
The male with the gunshot wound was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital via helicopter.
The female was treated at an area hospital and released.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations is assisting with this investigation.
At this time, no arrests have been made.

Logan County Sheriff’s Office remains on the scene attempting to sort out exactly what happened that led to a male being shot.
The first report deputies learned was that a female had been assaulted by a male and that the male was shot by her husband.
The shooting victim was transported by Survival Flight to OU Medical Center with a single gunshot wound to the shoulder with no exit wound.
A female was later transported to Edmond Integris Hospital for a back injury.
Deputies are expected to work through the over night hours collecting more information and evidence.

A person was shot late Tuesday following an alleged assault.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Guthrie EMS and Woodcrest Fire Department were dispatched to the 2400 block of E. Oak Lane in southeast Logan County at 11:28 p.m.
With deputies now arriving to the scene (11:39 p.m.), details are not completely known at this time regarding the shooting.
The person, a male, who was shot in the shoulder area is reported to be lying on the front porch. A medical helicopter has been requested at the scene.
