The Guthrie Fire Department needed only a few minutes to extinguish the flames of a semi-tractor fire on Friday afternoon, but the damage had already been done.
The fire department responded behind the building of Red Dirt Construction, located at 902 N. Academy, just after 3:30 p.m. for the fire.
Black, thick smoke could easily be seen miles away.
Firefighters knocked the fire down with the front nozzle of a brush truck and afterwards with a fire hose.
There was no one at the business at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
Workers at the business said they used the truck earlier in the day with no issues.
It is unknown what sparked the fire.
The truck is a complete loss.
