Waitress chases suspect from restaurant; thrown from vehicle

A waitress was rushed to a Oklahoma City hospital on Tuesday evening after she chased a patron out of a Guthrie restaurant and was tossed from a vehicle.

Guthrie police and EMS were dispatched to Legends Food and Sport just after 8:30 p.m. for a female who was seen thrown from a vehicle. The entire event was seen by witnesses at a nearby street light.

According to the witnesses, they saw a female chase a gray vehicle in the restaurant’s parking lot and jumped onto the back of the moving car. The car sped out of the parking lot by turning north on S. Division. In the process, tossed the woman off and into the concrete parking lot.

The witnesses came to the rescue of the waitress and immediately called 911 after seeing her injuries.

The suspect drove away and was not located by police.

The suspect is said to have walked out of their tab and was the reason the waitress gave chase.

Police are working with leads to try to locate the vehicle and suspect. A description of the driver was not available at the scene.

The female was transported emergency to OU Medical Center with a head injury.
