Water line project will temporarily impact downtown traffic

The ongoing water line project along S. Division St. will soon make its way into the downtown area and will temporarily impact traffic.

Beginning Monday morning (January 8), westbound traffic onto Harrison St will be closed off at Division, according to city officials.

The northbound and southbound lanes of Division St. will remain open, but to accommodate that, parallel parking will not be available on either side of the street during construction.

City crews will install an inserta valve on a 10-inch line and perform a cut and plug on the same line to kill out an old portion of the line down Division St.
