The Guthrie City Council met with members of the public and representatives from the planning firm Jacobs Engineering, to discuss what type of land usage should be included in future use planning at Liberty Lake. The input that came out of the meeting is that the Liberty Lake area should include areas for residential development, green space, both passive and active parks and recreation, and also that the potential for commercial ventures should be explored as well.
It is the parks and recreation component of the planning that now needs public input. A Public Input Meeting will be held with representatives from Jacobs Engineering and the Parks Board at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13th in the City Council Chambers to hear the public’s opinion about what parks and recreation amenities should be included in the Liberty Lake Master Plan.
In addition to coming to the meeting to give your input, the city would also encourage you to take their survey about what amenity is the most important to you. Click here to share your feedback.
First and foremost the roads leading to and around Liberty have to be paved. Nobody is ever going the use the lake if the roads leading to it are left in their current state. It doesn’t take a genius legislature to figure this out.
Primitive camping area wih showers and restrooms.
@ stan, primitive camping does not include showers!
First, get rid of all the trash. I would also love to see a road/trail system that winds around the Lake.
I would like to see duck hunting allowed!
