Investigators continue to locate stolen items, which is leading back to four juveniles from Guthrie.

A victim says juveniles got away in a burgundy vehicle after they had stolen his cell phone from the Guthrie McDonald’s on Thursday morning. In an unusual coincidence, the victim happened to drive pass the intersection of Pine and Industrial after leaving the restaurant and says he saw the same vehicle at a residence. Turns out, that home was being burglarize.

Several minutes later, the burgundy car was found stuck in the ditch on the grounds of Highland Park near Cypress and Warner. The vehicle was stolen at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Walgreens in Spencer (Okla.).

A Guthrie officer spotted the juveniles walking away from the stolen car. Two male juveniles were taken into custody immediately while the another took off on foot.

As more officers were dispatched to the area, a second officer saw one of the identified juveniles walk into a home at the intersection of Walnut and Vilas. After going into the home, a male and female juvenile were seen taken away in handcuffs.

Police say electronics and jewelry were found in the juveniles’ possession. However, investigators are finding more stolen items throughout Logan County and continue their investigation. More details are likely to be released on Friday.

Guthrie Junior High School and the school district’s Administration Building were placed on shelter in place status for 27 minutes. Shelter in place is not a full lockdown but rather a stop of all outside student or staff. Both buildings were returned to normal operation at 11:02 a.m.
