The Woodcrest Fire Department named their Firefighter of the Year during their annual Christmas party this past weekend.
Chief Luke Young said members of the department voted on and selected one individual who goes beyond the normal call of duty.
This year the firefighters named Nick Lovelace as the 2017 Firefighter of The Year.
Lovelace was described as demonstrating outstanding service, unselfish dedication and personal sacrifice in his duties.
