Advanced training coming to Guthrie for LEO’s, fire and EMS officials

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is inviting law enforcement officers, EMS and fire professionals and dispatchers from across Oklahoma and Arkansas to the Active Attack Integrated Response Train the Trainer (AAIR-T3)  course being held in Guthrie.

The AAIR-T3 is a course taught by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) program from Texas State University.

The AAIR-T3 course is a “40 hour performance level direct delivery course designed to improve integration between law enforcement, fire, tele-communicator and emergency medical services (EMS) in active attack / shooter events. The course provides law enforcement officers with key medical skills based on tactical emergency casualty care (TECC) guidelines, which can be used at the point of injury (POI) to increase survivability of victims.”

This course will allow participating agencies to collaborate and offer the AAIR course locally to their own agencies across the state.
