Amanda Fortney recognized as emerging professional at statewide conference

Amanda Fortney of Guthrie was recently recognized as a nominee for the Emerging New Professional award at the annual OK PACE Conference, an event that honors excellence in career and technical education across Oklahoma.

Fortney is part of the Workforce and Economic Development (WED) team at Francis Tuttle Technology Center, where she has contributed significantly in her first five years of service. The Emerging New Professional award highlights individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication and early impact in the career tech field.

She was one of three members from Francis Tuttle’s WED team nominated for prestigious honors at the event. Kevin Barber received a nomination for the Award of Excellence, which recognizes professionals with at least ten years of service, while Molly Scalf was nominated for the Innovation Award for her collaborative and creative initiatives.

Francis Tuttle officials expressed pride in their team, emphasizing their continued support for businesses across central Oklahoma. The WED division provides customized training, manufacturing support, and workforce solutions to help companies expand and thrive.
