BOCC expected to accept resignation of county elected official

The Logan County Board of County Commissioners are expected to accept the resignation of an elected official in their regular scheduled meeting on Friday morning.

Commissioners will take possible action on accepting the resignation of Court Clerk Rejenna Zmek. The resignation would be effective at the end of the month (Jan. 31).

Zmek, who has spent 25 years in the court clerk’s office, including 12-plus years as the elected court clerk, says she plans to retire and enjoy her grandchildren.

Zmek’s term is set to expire on Dec. 31, 2016. Commissioners are expected to name an interim clerk later this month.
