Vehicle fire results in 160 acres to burn in Logan County

A vehicle fire in the southeast corner of Logan County eventually turned into a grass fire that sent several fire crews out Monday afternoon and into the evening.

 

Fire Departments from Guthrie, Woodcrest, Meridian, Coyle, Oak Cliff, Deer Creek, Luther, Hickory Hills and Edmond assisted with the fire that burned approximately 160 acres centered around Dobbs Road which is located about six miles from Luther.

An oilfield truck was in the area doing some work when it tried to find a shut off valve when it caught fire.

The event lasted several hours that needed 22 fire units and bulldozers from Logan County District 2 and Oklahoma County District 1.

There were no injuries reported and no structures damaged.
