Chamber Chat: Pollard Theatre sets up a Valentines Dinner and Dance

Hello!  The Central Oklahoma Community Action used to provide free tax return services for families within a certain tax base, that service was dropped this year. We were extremely pleased to hear that the Guthrie Public Library has picked up that program which will begin now and end on the 15th of April!  The Library is located at 201 N. Division; their phone number is 405-282-0050.

Russell Cellular is a fairly new business in Guthrie. They joined the Chamber last September!  They have a nice storefront in the mall just South of Wal-Mart. The Pollard Theatre has set up a Valentines Dinner and Dance in the ballroom of the Sand Plum Event Center.  Dance to “The Notes” and dine the night away for only $60 per person. Guthrie Haunts Scaregrounds is at it again! Friday and Saturday, February 13-14 they are going to have a “My Vexed Valentine.”  From 7-11 p.m. with a $10 admission you can witness a Zombie Wedding, a Tunnel of Love, Shotgun Wedding and a Necro morgue with lots of other interactive things.  For more information you can go to the Guthrie Haunts Facebook page or call 243-7671 or just show up at 4524 Riverside Circle.

It’s almost time for the annual Ground Hog Dinner and Silent Auction hosted by the First United Methodist Church! February 5 at the Fairgrounds building, lunch will be served from 11am to 1pm and dinner will be served from 5pm to 7pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the church at 282-4297.
