Hello! Daniels Drug, now called Spoonful Pharmacy, and AC’s Hallmark is on the move… literally they will be closing at noon on Saturday, April 12 and will reopen Tuesday the 15 at their new location! 105 E. Industrial Road. Dr. Dawn’s Chiropractic is also moving her practice out with Daniels Drug and AC’s Hallmark.

The 8th Annual Licorice Festival is the 9th through the 13th. Cherie and Rick Gordon from Aunt Gertrude’s House are Licorice lovers and put on quite a spread from destinations all around the globe to celebrate National Licorice Week! They are located at 112 E. The Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo runs from the 10th to the 12th, two concerts will close out each night with the Randy Rogers Band playing Friday night and Rodney Atkins playing Saturday night! Knights of Columbus invite you to attend their annual fish fry fundraiser. Dinner will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 411 N. Elm from 5pm to 7pm, April 11th. The Knights of Columbus donate to charities and support the church.

The Bed & Breakfast Association is having a self guided tour, Saturday April 12th from noon to 4. The cost is $10 for a single, $15 per couple. Beverages and hor d’oeuvres will be available. The B&B’s participating in the tour; Addison Suites, Keepsake Kottage, Pembroke Cottage, Rosa Bella, Jaded Getaway, Suite Bettie Jean and Red Stone Country Inn.

The Guthrie Art Walk is this Saturday the 12th from 4pm to 8pm in the downtown historic area. Thirteen different locations are participating this year with retablos folk artist, fiber artists, ceramists, potters and jewelry designers.

The Guthrie Education Grant Foundation will have their annual reception at the Scottish Rite Temple, Thursday April 10th at 6:30p.m.

It’s time for Touch the Trucks! Sunday, April 13th from 1pm to 3pm at the Logan County Fairgrounds, admission is free to the whole family, plus a book giveaway. Climb on and explore some of your favorite vehicles. This event is sponsored by the Logan County Partnership to help raise awareness of Child

Abuse Prevention in Logan County.

The Logan County Aging service located in Highland Hall at Highland Park provides meals to Guthrie citizens all week. Local citizens who are able to get out can come to the center for lunch Monday through Friday. Citizens who cannot get out of their home and who qualify to receive meals have them delivered to their home. Currently the Aging Service is short drivers and delivery people. They need at least five volunteers, if you are interested or know of someone please call 282-1803.
