Four suspects caught, arrested in basement of business

Four males were taken into custody on Wednesday evening after they broke into the basement of a business.

Guthrie police officers responded to 89’er Bowl just before 7 p.m. when they were notified about three suspects, who made their way into the basement of the building.

Once on the scene, police spotted the three males participating in illegal drug activity.

Video cameras helped employees spot the suspects.

Police officials say they have been called out several times to that particular area of the business for vandalism reports.

William Friend, 21, Brett Jenkins, 19, and Dondre Williams, 22, were arrested at the scene. A male juvenile was also seen taken away in a police cruiser.

Just last month, Jenkins completed the Regimented Inmate Discipline (RID) program with confinement at the Lexington Assessment and Reception Center. He was placed there after pleading guilty to four charges after going on a crime spree in 2015. Related story: Jenkins pleads guilty to crime spree charges; second suspect asks judge for ruling

Also, last month, Friend pleaded guilty to assault and battery on a juvenile. Court papers show he attacked the juvenile by punching him four times under the viaduct. He was sentenced to pay fines, community service and complete an anger management course.
