GHS cross country teams earn academic honors

The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association recently announced the Guthrie High School boys and girls cross country program have earned recognition for their work in the classroom.

The GHS boys team have earned the Distinguished Academic Plaque for scoring a minimum grade point average of 3.50 and ranked in the upper 10 percent of all Class 5A schools.

For the girls team, they received the Academic Achievement Certificate for their work. The Lady Jays team scored a minimum 3.25 grade point and ranked in the upper third of the state’s second largest class.
